department of Mass Communication was set up to convey the message of Allah
(SWT) to the people
at large, using modern
communication tools (print and electronic media) in an effective manner.

The Quran is a message for mankind, in order that they may be warned
thereby, and that they may know that He is the only one
Ilah (God--Allah) and
that men of understanding may take heed (Ibraheem:52)
We aim to reach out to various groups cutting across
gender, socio economic status, ages, races, languages and religions. Our
mission is to convey basic Islamic knowledge, which is well researched and
authentic as well as presented in a manner that is easily understandable
and appealing.
The department has the following sections

Research
and publication:
This sections publishes high quality printed material in the
form of books, pamphlets, and cards to educate people on basic Islamic
issues relevant to their daily lives.
Curriculum material for the Institute's various courses is also
developed here.
2. Information
technology:
This section produces Audio Cassettes, CDs, VCDs and Multimedia Media presentations.
Audio
Cassettes
The following series of cassettes have been developed
1.
Taleem-Al-Quran: Complete translation and explanation of the Quran with
literal analysis of the words and an effort to understand current problems
in the light of the Quran. (Dr. Farhat Hashmi)
2. Fahm-Al-Quran: Comprising of 60 cassettes, complete idiomatic
translation and short explanation of the Quran (Dr.Farhat Hashmi)
3.
Fahm-Al-Quran: Comprising of 60 cassettes, complete idiomatic
translation and short explanation of the Quran in English (Amina Elahi)
4. Hadith: Cassettes based on Riyadh-Al-Saaliheen and Sahih Al-Bukhari,
in an effort to understand the sayings of the Prophet(SAW).
5. Miscellaneous Lectures: Cassettes and CDs on various moral and
social topics.
6. Lectures by various renowned scholars.
. Complete sets of the recitation of the Quran in the voices of
different world-renowned qur’a .

It also manages Al
Huda’s website which is instrumental in reaching out to a
significant number of people who otherwise do not have access to our
material. The use of broadcast media (radio and
TV programs) is also part of our program as these media have an immense
impact.

In
view of the need and demands of the modern era, Al-Huda is also striving
to spread Islamic Knowledge through its website. All the material
available on the website is available for free download.
Radio
Program
In accordance with the aim to convey the message of the Quran to
every individual, the Institute is also propagating Islamic teachings
through radio & TV channels. The following efforts have been made in
this regard:
1. In Ramadan 2000, the entire Fahm-ul-Quran program of translation
and short explanation was aired on FM-100,IslamabadandKarachi.
2. In Ramadan 2001, the program was aired on the network through
FM-101, and in Islamabad through FM-100.
3. In addition to this, programs on various social and religious
topics were also aired occasionally.
4. A Program of the word-to-word translation and explanation of the
Quran was aired through FM-100 network.
5.
Presently, Fahm AL Quran program is being aired on FM 105 (Punjab)and
107(Sind). INSHA-ALLAH By the Grace of ALLAH SWT as more sponsorship
arrives, the duration of the programs can be increased as well.
Programs
for TV Channels
1.
Ramadan
2002, a set of 30 special programs "Ham
Ramazan Kaisay Guzarein?" was aired daily on ARY
Digital TV Channel.
2. A program "Islam Deen-e-Fitrat Hai"
was aired on PTV & PTV World channels.
3.
Marketing:
This section aims to research media trends to assist in the
development of more up to date and relevant Dawah material.
Another
objective is to find effective and innovative methods for marketing "The
Message".
