HOPE BEHIND BARS
By: Mohammad Naeem
Central Jail
Karachi, Pakistan.
Dear Sister Farhat,
I am writing you this letter
from Phansee (Execution) Ward No. 1 Central Jail, Karachi, to
congratulate you on your Quranic translation and tafseer. May God Bless
you and give you a long life and strength to continue your mission (Aamin).
After enjoying 55 years of a
very luxurious life, everything was taken away from me, my home on 2000
sq yds. with a swimming pool, my cars, children, wife, friends and fame.
I was left with only 6 pairs of Shalwar Kameez, a Quran, an ordinary
tape recorder and a set of your cassettes.
I am thankful that ALMIGHTY
ALLAH SWT did not take me away from this world after 55 years, but
instead sent me to the Central Jail, so that I can pray for my
forgiveness. By His Grace alone, for the last 3 months I've been praying
6 times a day including my tahajjud prayer, fasting every alternate day
and keeping all my 30 fasts in Ramadan. So far, I have listened twice to
your cassettes. There were so many questions in my mind which your
cassettes answered. They are really very helpful.
Since I am here, I feel so
good. I don't miss the outside world. I never cried when I was outside
neither did I fast, pray or believe in the Akhirat. But now thanks to
ALLAH Almighty for bringing me here, the same person's eyes fill
effortlessly with tears while praying.
My daughter did one-year
course from Al-Huda and now she is in USA. Many other relatives of mine
visit your Dars, including my wife and mother-in- law.
Once again I wish you good
luck. Please pray for my forgiveness and pray that me and my wife both
go to Jannat, Aamin. Please pray for my guidance.
ALLAH HAFIZ.
