FACILITIES
Library
The
institute’s library holds a collection of over three thousand
books on a variety of subjects, including Tafseer, Hadith, Fiqh,
History, Seerah, Poetry, and Muslim Men and Women, in Urdu, Arabic
and English. Students are expected to benefit by using it for
research on various subjects.
Audio-Visual
Facility
Modern
educational teaching methods are used for effective classroom
teachings. The Institute has a fairly large selection of
audio-visual aids as a useful educational resource for students.
These include educational CDs and videos. Additionally, the lectures
given in class are recorded by the Institute, and are made available
to the students via cassettes afterwards. This allows students to
catch up on missed lectures.
Extra
Curricular Activities
Trips
are arranged at least once a year, so that students may interact
with their colleagues and teachers and apply the Islamic etiquettes
of traveling they are taught during the course. In this connection,
girls are taken to the beach or to farms. A trip was also made to
Turkey, which gave students a unique insight into Islamic
civilizations and history, and was thoroughly beneficial for them.
Hostel
A
well-supervised hostel, with limited accommodation capacity, is
available for regular students who reside far away from the
Institute campus. It provides a comfortable, clean and healthy
environment to nurture the students mentally and spiritually. The
rules and regulations are provided after accepting the request for
accommodation. The Institute reserves the right of admission in each
case. Applicants requiring hostel accommodation are required
to complete Form C (hostel application). This form can be obtained
directly from the Institute on admission. Girls above the age of 18
are given hostel facility.
Health
Services
Medical
facilities are available for students in case of minor illness. All
applicants must note that the Institute will not be held responsible
in the unfortunate event of any medical emergency, nor will it be
responsible for the payment of any treatment required in more
complicated medical conditions.
Financial
Assistance
Financial
assistance is available for deserving students who are academically
competent as well. Applicants are required to complete an additional
Form B (financial assistance), which can be obtained on request from
the Institute. Students are required to declare their financial
status and circumstances in the form. The information forwarded is
strictly confidential and is used only to assess the amount of
assistance required. Please note that the sponsorship is terminated
if the student fails to attain the required passing percentage.
Childcare
Facility
Al-Huda
provides childcare facilities to mothers with young children, free
of charge. A separate room is available for these mothers where they
can continue with their study while taking care of their children.
Furthermore, the staff members at Al-Huda also help out with the
children. During holidays, Al-Huda organizes different courses
for the children of the staff and the students. Students with
children are thus provided a relaxed learning environment.
Stall
and Gift Shop
All
the course material is available to the students at the Al-Huda
shop, as well as at the stalls at various campuses at minimal
prices.
Canteen
A
well-equipped canteen is available for the students at Al-Huda. Not
only does it offer eatables but also medicines, stationery, gowns
and scarves amongst other things. A note is made that the food
served satisfies the conditions of 'halaal' (lawful) and 'tayyib'
(clean) as per Islamic Laws.
