BISMILLAH HIR RAHMAN NIR RAHEEM Namaaz-e-Nabwi and Us By: Fakhri Hameed Pyari Ustazah, Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahe Wabarkatuhu, InshaAllah, we are going to complete Namaaz e Nabwe today, and all of us have learned a lot, Alhamdolillah. I hope that this weekend, while we are studying for the Test----it is not just to get good marks, but we should also put into practice what we have learned so far. I know, it is not easy to change what we have been practicing for a long time, but when the Haq, the correct knowledge, comes to us from the Quraan and the Sunnah, about any aspect of our Deen, then it should not be hard for us to adopt and practice it----if not, we should ask ourselves, what is stopping me. Any Ebaada without Ilm is just a ritual that we learned a long time ago, with no spirit, and Allah subhanahu wa ta'aala expects us to obey Him subhanahu wa ta'aala exactly as He subhanahu wa ta'aala has taught us through the Quraan and the Sunnah. While we are at school, we have each others support, and Alhamdolillah we have a teacher to encourage and remind us to put into practice what we learn everyday. If we wait till we complete the course----we will never be able to put this knowledge into practice, if we have not so far. Alhamdolillah a lot of things that I knew before were reinforced, many doubts cleared in the light of the Authentic Ahadith, no excuse anymore that we did not know or understand, and I thank Allah subhanahu wa ta'aala everyday for giving us a teacher like you, Alhamdolillah. In school we can ask each other, and help one another----in following or practicing what we are learning. A few days ago, someone asked me, while I was making wudu, to show how to rinse the mouth and clean the nose at the same time, and when I showed, my sister realized it was not difficult at all. Today, after salah tuz zuhr I asked one of my sister, who was praying beside me, to see if the position of my hands in sajood was not to high. We should not hesitate, when joining our feet in Salah, because we have never done it before---not after we read and heard so many Authentic Ahadith. Why are we so afraid of moving our index finger during Tashahud, and why have we assumed that our toes can never ever bend to face the kaaba. If we want our salahs to be accepted, and if we try with strong conviction and Ikhlaas then InshaAllah we will be able to perform our Salah, in the manner Rasool Allah SAW performed and showed us----Every step of it, from Takbeer e Tehreema to Tasleem---Salu kama Ra aitumu Usalle. Yesterday, we read the word SubhanAllah in Surah Al Anbiya Aya 21 and 26--- Allah ke Kaamil Paaki Bayaan kerna jaisay ka Uski Paaki Bayaan Kernay Ka Haqq hai---Praise Allah as He is worthy of being Praised. We repeat this Attribute-SubhanAllah, so many times everyday (33 times 5) 165 times in Tasbeeh after each Salah and, just in Fard Salah 153 times during Raku and Sajood. Have we ever reflected on its meaning while saying it-and now, when we know it. Alhamdolillah, for the last two days when I say SubhanAllah, it comes from not just my tongue, but from within, and I want to keep reapeating it. My tasbeeh after salah takes at least twice as much time then before, Alhamdolillah and I hope this time will increase and never decrease, InshaAllah. I pray that we perform our salah's according to the Sunnah and not just move up and down like a programmed robot from Takbeer to Salaam, and walk away, salah after salah, unchanged---happy to be the same, before and after. Dear Ustazah, I will cherish every moment spent with you in the class. The time seems to be floating away like a cloud blown away by strong winds---it is there, and the next minute we look at the sky, it disappears, gone for ever. I wish this time would never end----the truth, it will end soon----so let us not wait to practice what we are learning, and be grateful for this Naima, that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'aala has given us. JazakAllahu Khairan from my heart |
