In the name of ALLAH SWT, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.
Dearest Ma'am,
Assalam-o-Alaikum.
I hope that you'll be fine
and enjoying the best of health and other blessings of life.
It is for the first time that
I am writing to you. So, in this regard I would like to introduce myself
first. My name is Imran Shahid. I am a Pakistani and I belong to the
city of Lahore. Right now I am in Edmond/Oklahoma (United States of
America). I am a student of Electrical Engineering. Other than this, I
am a hafiz-e-Quran too, Alhumdulillah. I am here in USA since August
2001. These days alongside my classes I am preparing myself to lead the
Taraweeh prayers here in central mosque of Edmond/Oklahoma.
I just wanted to convey my
feelings about when I heard your lectures . First of all, my honorable
teacher, I want to ask your permission to call you my mother, as every
time I heard you on the Al-Huda web-site and on audio cassettes, I felt
the same parental affection from you. I have heard a few of your audio
cassettes like "khuaab or us ki haqeeqat", "dosti",
"insan ALLAH SWT ka mohtaj hay" which I got from a friend. I
think what I learnt from listening to these really altered my way of
thinking. The way you explained the meaning of friendship and the basis
that one should have in mind while making friends, that is for the sake
of Almighty ALLAH SWT, really helped me to analyze my friendship circle
and myself. Similarly, the knowledge that I got from you on 'Istikhara'
really helped me to develop a habit of doing this while planning and
doing anything. Similarly, there are so many things that I learnt from
you and for all this I have nothing to say but Jazak ALLAH khairan
kaseera. May ALLAH Ta'ala Bless you more and more with His Care, Love
and Knowledge of His Deen. Aamin
My dear mother! The pattern
of life that I used to have before coming here to USA was very different
from this present one. Here I got the opportunity to understand myself
and the relation that I have with my Creator ALLAH SWT. I think I am
unable to explain the care and love that I got from Him and now I want
myself to be what one true Muslim is supposed to be. In this regard if
you can guide me or tell me about other Pakistani scholars as well then
I think it will be a real turning point in my life. These days I have
only one activity to revise Quran and get myself prepared for the month
of Ramadan. I also want to request you to keep me in your duas
especially for my Taraweeh prayers. I am planning to start taking
classes of 'Tafseer' and 'Asool-e-Fiqh'. Please do send me any kind of
information you can about this. I hope that you will guide me being my
spiritual mother, INSHA-ALLAH. More over, I am planning to visit
Pakistan in coming December for one month. If there can be any kind of
one week crash course for Fiqh and Hadith, I would definitely attend
that, please pray for me that ALLAH SWT may Bless me with the best
opportunities to serve His Deen. Ameen.
In the end, I want to request
you to guide me about how I can do something for the Muslim community
here in USA. Though, I teach Quran to the kids of the community but I
want to do more. May ALLAH SWT Help me and Shower His bounties on you
and all of us. Ameen.
Truly yours,
Imran Shahid
