The Effectees are being shifted to tent cities, where they are given medical aid, ration and the shelter from the bitter cold. But since they are in such huge numbers with the government already fully engaged with other relief efforts, we need to come forward as volunteers in this hour. The requirements have exceeded from donations. Al-Huda is arranging a set of teams who will be working in these camps. Side by side to this, the ongoing relief work is being carried out. Small amounts of relief goods but in huge numbers are being sent to different places. There is a much greater need to donate and help as most of the people now wrongly believe that foods have been provided and everything is returning to normal. As many effectees are being brought to the local hospitals for initial treatment. There comes the problem of their rehabilitation. The cold weather and the aftershocks make it impossible for them to return to their mother towns. These people are given shelter in different areas of Islamabad. Al-Huda International Lahore and Gurmani Foundation is working together for the collecting, packing and delivery of relief goods. Both foundations are working effectively for that the benefit may reach the needy people within the required time and as soon as possible. On the eighth day, the quantity of the relief goods that were was low. But our teams had many visits to different local hospitals. Al-Huda has prepared teams which will visit their designated Hospitals daily. For details please download the file below:

On the seventh day, more relief goods were sent. The target was very specified, only to certain distant villages. That is why small transport vehicles were preferred. Alhamdulillah, the branch of Al-Huda in the United Arab Emirates has also contributed in this relief effort. The students of Al-Huda in Dubai, Sharjah and adjacent areas have collected funds totally US $7,100. This amount has already been transferred to Al-Huda Islamabad on the 15th of October. Along with this, 2 trucks carrying a total of 6,450 blankets were handed over to the Pakistan Consulate in Karama, Dubai. For more detail visit the gallery section. This was as a result of a demand placed by Al-Huda International Islamabad after the sudden change in temperature as the cold wave strikes the effected areas with heavy rain and snowfall. May Allah keep us safe especially the shelterless people.

On the third day, the relief efforts continued. Donations, goods bought, packing, distribution to different areas and support for hospitals were made. The local hospitals were overwhelmed by the huge number of patients coming from the Northern regions. This is far beyond the capacity of the hospitals. So it was decided to provide support both by proving medicines and also by other relief goods including cloths, food stuff and bedding etc. For complete details please download the file below:

On the second day, the relief efforts gained even more pace. More and more items were bought and more coordination was made between the different Al-Huda center. But apart from the progress made, the relief teams reached their destinations and reported of the progress made at the relief locations. Without the formal announcement of Al-Huda to take part in the relief work, with the Grace of Allah many volunteers brought different items of relief. Listeners, Friends, Students and outside Volunteers all eagerly came early in the day to show their willingness. Duties were defined and work was organized. Telephone help lines were separated for the earthquake relief related information, the development of a dedicated website was initiated, a relief cell was established, all branches were informed. Immediately donations were collected and relief item bought. Four trucks were sent at the end of the day to different places.
