Eid related support to Effected Areas

On the occasion of Eid, Al-Huda had come up with a plan to provide Qurbani meat to the Effected areas. So that those people could benefit from it. But the snows and extreme weather conditions prohibit transportation of animals to the affected areas. Therefore, the animals for qurbani are being purchased by Al-Huda staff from their own respective areas. To avoid any shortage, the animals are being purhased and kept in the nearest sheds with the fodder needed till Eid as heavy snows and rains might block the roads furhter. This qurbani will be done near the respective branch and distributed through student's male family members in the affected areas.

Details of Qurbani are as under:
Total Goats: 19 & Total Cows: 17

Support provided for Other Effectees(Updated 29th Oct)

Community Center, Islamabad: The fifth visit by Al-Huda team was made to the Post Medical Care Center, Community Center in Islamabad where effectees are being brought after their medical treatment in PIMS hospital. There are about 50 female patients in the center. There are also injured children and male patients. A proper team visits the center of around 15 students with 2 incharges and 2 senior staff. In each visit we carry some items as our token of love for these injured patients. During this last visit also, we again took with us 30 packets, each containing a tasbeeh, a nail cutter, talcum powder, face towel, cotton, under garment, a comb, a soap, and a cachet of shampoo. After passing of 19 days, the patients are now some what mentally settled and sort of accepted their loss of property and dear ones. However, we yet hear out bust of emotions and loud crying. May Allah bless them with beautiful patience.

Our students  Alhamdulillah, at these visits are showing quite a mature behavior and trying to spend quality time in counseling them by helping them compose there shattered personalities, helping them to move, doing massage, oiling and combing their hair, doing daam on painful body parts, teaching them duas, to eat, in sharing their grief and showing them new hope towards life, by bringing them closer to Allah.

Now, that we have developed a good repute with these patients, we have started introducing to them namaz from “Payarae Rasool Ki Payare Duaen”. May Allah show His mercy on all of us. Ameen!

Support provided for Hospitals (Updated 15th Oct)

PIMS Hospital, Islamabad: A seven member team from Al-Huda visited PIMS Hospital. The whole situation was unbearable with patients lying all over the corridors and the hospital's entrance. Screams were heard of patients in pain from the injuries that they have suffered and the mentally shock that they were in. There were other volunteers from universities and colleges as well. Our team also participated in the effort by donating medicines, milk, bedding etc and volunteering. SInce the hospital is overcrowded with more patients brought each day and the resources are very limited, there is a need of aid materials like soap, tooth pastes, plates, glasses etc. Injuries are not the only problem, many are suffering from infecting diseases. Again, apart from the material aid that is required, volunteers are needed to attend these patients and psychological counseling is required. May Allah help all those who are effected. Ameen!

Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi: Another team from Al-Huda visited Holy Family Hospital. The situation is very similar to PIMS hospital with patients all over. One of the doctors told our team that during the last week he treated 870 patients with fractures and only today(15th Oct), he already had treated 50 patients. The medicines and food stuff are ample so donation of this sort isn't required. But what really is required are white bed sheets, artificial limbs, lumber jackets, cervical collars etc. There are so many patients that the hospital has already ran low on resources. People are required to donate the above mentioned things generously.

Support provided for Children (Updated 15th Oct)

Children who are the survivors of the Earthquake are being brought to the Islamabad by the Government and Armed Forces so that they may not suffer from the cold weather, disease and may be given better treatment and care. These children are immediately brought to the hospitals for the treatment but as the capacities of the hospitals are not sufficient, they require our help and support. Most of them are orphaned.

PIMS Children Hospital is the main hospital where most of the children are brought for initial treatment. Many children are injured and disabled(their arms, legs and other parts of the body amputated). But the worst thing is the Psychology Trauma that they suffering from. They need our help, support and care. The nurses and the rest of the hospital staff is too busy to attend each child at a personal level. Al-Huda Team is visiting the Children Hospital on a daily basis. Staff members and volunteers visited for some hours, cleaned the children, gave food and tried to talk to them and make them relaxed. But they are too frightened but this incidence which has so deeply effected their lives forever.

Those children who have been initially treated now need to be taken to other places so that new comers are taken care of. NISE (National Institute for Special Education) has brought around 40 children with them, Al-Huda also visited there. Donations were also given such as Food, Medicines, Milk, Juices and Rs. 5,000. Currently they are not overwhelming by bring too many children. They require constant food supplies, milk and juices. But their main requirement is people who can volunteer give plenty of time to these children and bring them back to normal life. InshAllah!

Government is not permitting anyone to adapt any child at the moment.

An innocent smile of this young boy whose leg was fractured.

A cute girl, mashAllah, who lost her right hand fingers.

This innocent boy has his body body broken.

They are brother and sister and the boy is said to be crying all night for his lost mother.

Shocked by the mighty earthquake, his face was swollen due to some injury.

Note: Volunteers are required to take care of these children at a very personal level and dedicate themselves for a longer period of time till the time they recover from this trauma. InshAllah.
